Howdie! No I do not greet people
this way because I’m from the south. I do really use that word every single day
of my life and have since the beginning of middle school. Many people
throughout my life have come to know and love me for my invention of phrases
like the infamous classic “fudger snicker cracker” which unintentionally
debuted in my tenth grade math class as I got yet another problem wrong.
My name
is Ariana, I am a freshman at Penn State University. I have been born and raised
in State College along with my three brothers and my older sister. Don’t get me
wrong we have moved probably six times in my life, all of which were within
Center County. My family is pretty strange. I mean granted everyone probably
has one or two reasons to believe their family is strange, but my family is off
the charts strange, even though to the eye we may seem like every other middle
class average family.
I am
the youngest of five children in my house. My family consists of my older
sister, my two older brothers (who are twins) and then my twin and myself. Yes
you heard that right there are two set of twins in my family. Before you ask,
no my twin and I are not identical. He’s a boy and I’m a girl so that
physically isn’t possible :P (you don’t
know how many times I have been asked this question).
Art and
music are absolutely apart of my life every single day. Throughout highschool I
was involved in many different groups from choir to band to thespians etc.
Music has consciously been a part of my life since my first solo in choir in the
4th grade ( even though my mom says I was singing before I could
even speak). Music is my outlet, my distressing tool, my energizer and my life.
That’s actually how I wake up in the morning, I walk outside, walk to class and
pop my headphones in. Who can’t smile when you hear Train’s catchy tune “Hey,
Soul Sister”? It personally makes me want to break out dancing like my life is
a musical (and yes I’ve seen my fair share of those and no Highschool Musical
doesn’t count :P). For fun I love to
Google “random fun facts” initiated by
my choice of a Kiwi Strawberry Snapple one day during lunch about a year ago.
Another major thing you have to know about me is I absolutely have one of the
biggest sweet tooth’s you’ll ever hear of ( yet another thing I am know for
among my peers). At the very least I have some kind of candy in my purse or backpack
every single day. I am not picky it can be chocolate it can be fruity, I
usually like a good balance and
preferably large quantities of it :).
Throughout my life I have been
taught to find excitement, happiness and adventure in the little things! Some
blame it on me being “sheltered” and “ overprotected” but I beg to differ. Whether it’s me getting to try a new kind of
candy or getting to sing out the latest Kelly Clarkson girl anthem while I’m
driving in my car or getting to see all the people I love every single day I
absolutely find my life full of the said “excitement” I am missing out on. Find
meaning, find love and you will not miss one beat of life (music pun intended
:P). Atleast that’s what I plan to do!
P.S.- Yes I know I use a lot of
smiley faces. If you think this is a lot you should see my text messages :D
